93-year-old Auschwitz Cook Prosecuted

German prosecutors are seeking to indict 93-year-old Hans (Antanas) Lipschis as an alleged NS war criminal. They claim he worked as a guard at the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. He may be charged with aiding and abetting in mass murder. Lipschis’s name appears as number four on the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s list of most-wanted “Nazi criminals.”

“Lipschis denied the charges and claimed that he did not see the horrors committed at Auschwitz.”

Hence we are dealing here with a witness supporting the revisionist interpretation of events at the most notorious of all German wartime camps.

When asked if he worked at Auschwitz, Lipschis reportedly said, “Yes, as a cook, the entire time.” Hans Lipschis is one of 50 elderly Germans under investigation for alleged NS war crimes. In 2013, the Wiesenthal Center added him and Theodor Szehinskyj to their list of Most Wanted “Nazi criminals.” According to the information provided by “Nazi hunter” Efraim Zuroff, director of the Wiesenthal Center office in Jerusalem, Hans Lipschis served in the SS from October 1941 to 1945 at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

German media have identified Hans Lipschis as living in Aalen in southern Germany

According to German Prosecutor Kurt Schrimm, head of Germany’s Central Judicial Office for the Investigation of NS crimes (http://www.zentrale-stelle.de) “Simply being where the killing took place would be enough for a conviction” – even if he merely fed the inmates.

Unfortunately, very few of the victims recognize this witch hunt against them for what it is. Rather than using the trials to embarrass the prosecution, they “admit guilt” and ask for leniency.

Kurt Schrimm also stated: “It is not clear what role, if any, he had in the mass murder of inmates. He has told neighbours and reporters he worked only as a cook and saw nothing of the gas chambers and crematoria.” Schrimm says the purpose of pursuing suspects now is to create a sense that justice is being done and to shed light on historical events.

Brazil is currently also “Nazi hunting” in cooperation with prosecutors like Kurt Schrimm, scourring immigration records of the immediate postwar period. At that time numerous German officials had fled to South America.

Hunting geriatrics who have no support from anyone in power or with influence and who have no way of defending themselves is very lucrative, as it makes the hunter look “tough on hate” and sensitive toward the eternally suffering Jew.

Maybe Lipschis should have joined the resistance at Auschwitz and refused to feed the inmates.
